Charlotte Cobras game and MCCNASTY2

I'm no Mr. Scot or Zod so please excuse the commentary and pics.

The game was close, our own MCCNASTY2 is the starting OT and played the first half very effectively.

The Charlotte Cobras lost 26 to 20 but the score doesn't reveal how the game should have ended. The Cobras kicker was off all day. He is normally Kasay-esque but missed 2 field goal attempts and 2 extra points. Defensively, both teams did well. I really reccomend a Cobras game, hard hitting and it is football.

It was almost like watching a Cardiac Cats game where everything that could go wrong, did and the game was still winnable up to the very end. I will try to post a game review when I can find one.

The LAPD played intensly but you could see a bit of unsportsmanlike conduct on the field and the sidelines. In fact, at the end of the game a couple of the LAPD players started a bench clearing brawl and I tried to take a picture of it but a lady behind MamaSan yelled "call the cops!" and I was falling down laughing.

Here are some pics.

MCCNASTY2 at the half, looking tough as ever.

Run Protection Done right. MCCNASTY helped layout the guy on the ground and was picking up another block

More pics....

The Cardiac Cobras, The score board and the coach looks like he is in "Fox Mode". The game ended on an interception with 20 seconds left and the Cobras weree on the 18 yard line.

Great stuff!

I don't know what the rules for eligibility are, but I'm 6'6" 310 lbs and played both d-line and o-line all through high school and junior college and would love to participate if I could...

Normally I would be right there with you but after tearing a ligament in my thumb snowboarding it has me rethinking contact sports. Its sucks when its you putting up the money and not the school.

Actually MCCNASTY had to sit out last season with a knee injury and at this game he got his other knee hurt. He is also supposed to have gone in for surgery on an internal issue but still played.

He is one tough SOB.

To play, I would PM him but it is a Public Safety League so I think you need to be a Police Officer, Fireman or Paramedic to play. They are also playing for charity so there is no money involved.

They have a website.

Will do, thanks... have been looking for a way to get back out on the field, played in a flag football league but it was kinda lame.

Thanks a ton to Pantha San and his family! They increased our fans in the stand by at least five! I usually post this in the Lounge but since its here already we have our first home game coming up against Charleston SC on May 14 and we take on Columbus Ohio on May 28. Check out our sight for game info. Oh yeah our first game was against Atlanta in their crappy city and we stomped them 42 to 13. That makes up for the LA loss a little. Thanks again Panth San!

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
