Bows and Toes....

One thing the old training staff used to do to humble players coming in was the 'bows and toes exercise. Simple concept but really tests your core.

Get on the ground with your elbows and toes supporting your weight. Keep your back perfectly straight, do not arch it. How long can you hold that position?

Average is 1 minute.

When I was in junior college, I had a wellness and fitness class. I came in one day half serious why we are doing the end of semester fitness test and said ," I will break a record". lol. I ended up doing 8 mins and 30 secs if I am not mistaken. I could have kept going but I didn't want to hold up the class which it was close to time to leave. I miss those days..Now I am out of shape and probably can only get like 30 secs...to think I am only 29..sighs lol

Our Krav Maga instructor loves those. Usually has us alternate between holding the plank position and transitioning directly to pushups without letting your knees touch the ground. This usually goes on for 3-5 minutes.

Never thought of pushups as a welcome relief before.

Two things...

1. Its called a plank. It is a bitch of a core exercise. Dr. Stewart McGill is huge on these. Athletes and training from around the world are referring to him on back and core work,

2. -1 for your thread title. I thought we were going to get a pic or links to Cameltoes.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
