Jimmy Clausen worked out and ran for the first time Tuesday since his early February foot surgery.

Clausen admits to being slightly out of shape after three months off, but he should be healthy and in football shape by training camp. Chances are, he'll be battling for the Panthers' starting job with Cam Newton or a veteran castoff.

slightly out of shape pfnah...come on Jimmy...

if only I were offered tens of millions to be in shape, I'd be the biggest baddess cut motherfuger alive

He isn't earning 10s of millions.

He also has just been allowed to start running because of foot surgery. How the hell is he supposed to be in good shape?

He should have paid a squad of people to work out for him. Two people on his legs pumping them in the bicycle motion, another guy behind him lifting his upper body up to simulate sit-ups and both hands up and out to the side, going back and forth to work the arm muscles. It's obvious!

Duh, because he's Jimmy Clausen and he's responsible for all the crappy things in this world. Famine, genocide, natural disasters, the Carolina Panthers' offense. People need to stop bashing the kid until he proves to be a consistent turd in the NFL. Am I one of the few that just hopes he lights it up somehow, just to see how the huddle reacts?

Narwocki claims teams are still interested in Clausen and would consider a trade.

Since many teams would have him in the 3rd best QB available this year behind Newton and Gabbert, that is kinda interesting.

Half of me wants to trade him now before we diminish his value even more by letting him touch the ball again. >.>

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • This is why we need the Bank of America Stadium Ballroom.
    • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
