Everything I am reading says the lockout ends tomorrow and the players win pending appeals.

Q: Will Judge Nelson issue the injunction and end the lockout?

A: Yes. There are two reasons to expect her to issue the injunction even though it is the most drastic remedy that is offered in American jurisprudence. Injunctions are granted only in compelling circumstances, and they are extremely rare in antitrust cases. But, even in a court system that is reluctant to issue injunctions, the players have a powerful and persuasive argument. There is little doubt that the NFL is using its monopoly power to extract concessions from the players. There is little doubt that the decertification is real and will be upheld. And there is little doubt that the loss of an entire season is a serious and irreparable harm to the NFL's 1,700 players.

Judge may have an immediate ruling, it's not like she's not already receiving pretrial discovery and supportive docs.

Assuming the players win is a bit premature, but hopefully she does issue the injunction and we can get on with the offseason. FA period should start 24-48 hours later according to multiple sources.

Hopefully, we'll know something by the end of the week or early next week. FA will do a lot to shape the draft.

But even if the lockout is lifted we cant officially sign anyone to a contract until a CBA is completed....right?

well, you posted the link saying why it would likely not be an immediate ruling

So, players contracts are no longer void after the ruling?

    • I do think the rating is fair given how this unit hasn’t proven it with production. I understand you have to rank off production, not potential. However, our unit is also in a position to make this rating look foolish a year from now. We have 4 guys in the WR/TE room who all could legitimately take the next step this year, and catapult our rank. A guy under a lot of people’s radar after we took Tet, Jalen Coker. Mark my words, he will become the star of this room, and be the heir to Thielen.
    • Exactly. You’d think 2-7 wins a year (in a 17 game season no less) since 2017 is going to keep us bottom tier. Every year we say the same poo like we haven’t been a bad team the past 7 years. Until we prove we aren’t a bottom dweller, that’s where we’ll stay ranked. God forbid we have OL injuries like 2016.
    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
