Are the panthers that bad?

Ridiculous. We have major holes at QB and DT. We could use some depth at OT and CB and MAYBE DE. Needing a little depth does not = major holes.

Ridiculous? What is riduclous that all we need is depth at CB. Richard Marshall is not coming back and he wasn't even that good. I know everyone loves him but there is no one on this board who can seriously believe Captain Munnerlyn would be a good second CB for a whole season. We despearately need someone to go opposite of Gamble. Other then Gamble and Munnerlyn. who else do we have? McCalin and Stanford? CJ Wilson? We need a lot of help at CB, I think more then DT.

No one knows Marshall isn't coming back, they've already tendered him. I agree Munnerlyn is not a starter. IF Marshall isn't back then yea, we need a starter but it isn't as desperate as you seem to imply. Even if Marshall doesn't come back we still have a good every down starter in Gamble, which is more than what most people think about the DT spot.

What's ridiculous is people who say "Marshall/Deangelo/Johnson/Davis/Anderson/whoever else won't be back". No one knows these things. I'd say of the group, Marshall has the least chance of being back but there's still probably just as much chance he's back as gone.

What's ridiculous is how rose colored your glasses are.

Brown has shown nothing. CJ may walk.

Otah is injury prone.

Marshall may walk.

What the hell do you call that?

The external scouting service we use rated us 10th in the league in overall talent... we're missing a QB, nothing more, nothing less.

:yesnod:FBO had us ranked 2nd going into last season. In the article many of the palyers listed were on IR last year. Goes to show that bad luck and poor offense played into the 2-14 record. Yeah technically you are what your record says but you can only look at that so much. Saints are supposed to be this talented well balanced team but you take Drew Brees away they are a 6 or 7 win team. Same goes with the Falcons and Ryan and Bucs and Freeman.

This has been one of my arguements for ever about Hurney.

He valued Running Backs and Linebackers more than QB's. (kind of a joke there)

If you have a little hole at QB you actually have a major talent hole on your team.

Barring injuries, we are a QB away from a deep playoff run. Upgrade a few more positions and we are set. The mass media just doesn't know our players, but I really believe that our core set ranks in the top 10. If we can get hot near December, the team has a chance at a title.

We need a QB, 2 DTs, OL (2 Flex T/G backups and a RG), CB2 (We are def in need a tall corner to compete better with White, Marques Col, Stovall, etc.), and a safety-safety net for Godfrey at the very least. We've got talent no question about it, but we have a ton of holes
