and I'm freakin out! in college so it's just a summer job, but it's for one of those giant swing rides at a theme park(sorta like bungee jumping-lite). will have a lot on my hands and am pretty nervous!

anyone else have a job like this? where you had so much responsibility and one mess up could be HUGE?

sounds like you are in an up and down industry. good luck

yea the boss told me some days if it's slow they'll close which I don't like.. got so many bills to pay and even though 7 bucks an hour sucks it's a whole lot better than nothing. plus this is literally the only one I got an interview with out of the 30 or so jobs I applied for in the past month.

That's a pretty natural reaction getting a career-type job coming out of college. Don't worry, you won't give a fug about repercussions of your decisions after a while like everyone else.

This will be my 4th year at a local water park. Easiest job, we often close a lot of times when it's slow or due to weather. Which I enjoy, knowing this will be the only job I have where if it rains, I go home.

Plus seeing hot girls in swimsuits on a daily basis would be badass.

Don't worry; there isn't really that much liability. You just think there is at this point.

I'd probably get fired for multiple reasons, though.

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
