Top linebacker prospects: 11. Lawrence Wilson, Connecticut, 6-1, 229, 4 Former Huskies coach Randy Edsall reached into uncharted waters when he landed Wilson, the first UConn recruit to ever come out of the state of Alabama. Wilson didn't disappoint, taking the opportunity created by an injury to Ryan Henegan during fall camp and going on to earn second-team freshman All-America honors. Wilson would close his career with a school-record 50 starts and a pair of first-team All-Big East honors, capped by 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 2010. He's going to bring his lunch pail and put in a full day's work, which will endear Wilson to any coaching staff. Combined with his speed, instincts, pass rush and coverage skills, Wilson is an unheralded mid-round prospect who could prove a steal if he can handle the physicality of the pro game

That's what you like to hear in round 6

read on draftscout that they said he actually ran a 4.55 at his pro day as well, I'll take it.

I'm not into homerism often, but I was actually hoping we would take Quan Sturdivant as the LB. The dude goes all out and makes plays everytime I've watched him.

Yea, I was actually surprised Sturdivant or Herzlich wasn't the pick if they wanted a LB but ESPN's scouting page has him ahead of Herzlich but well behind Sturdivant. Anyone know anything about Studrivant's fall? Lot of guys projected behind him were taken ahead of him.

    • damn I wish somebody would sign him. This has been going on for weeks.    I think if the team wanted to sign him we probably would have heard something about interest on our part.    Or any TE. It looks like they have set that room. And we have taken guys two years running, a guy like this would be blocking them. We need to see if they have it or not. And we should see if Tremble is gonna ever do anything.      In general, with the TEs
    • Dude, there aren’t rose colored glasses big enough for you to call this “not a bad draft.” BC was not a good pick. He was taken with the 6th pick in round 3 and he’s been a backup OL. Tremble also wasn’t a win. Another 3rd rounder who’s easily replaced. Only reason either of them started games is because of injuries or a lack of a better starter. Chuba’s got heart but he’s had one solid year behind a solid run blocking unit. Other than that he’s underwhelmed and like we saw with Dowdle and Foreman, it’s not hard to find cheap pickups who perform as well. Horn has been a good starter but honestly that draft had so many solid starters we could have taken. With as many picks as we had, him and Chuba is absolutely a bad draft. We needed OL and BC and Brown was a terrible effort. You clearly didn’t watch the Senior Bowl if you thought Brown had a chance in the NFL. The huddle draft folks wanted Humphrey and Smith and instead we got crap and Mahomes was the winner.
    • you are one of the few huddlers I've met in person! Beelman's pub during the 2015 playoff / superbowl run LA RR chapter 🍻
