To the "yes we Cam" people

Recommended Posts

He has gone home due to the lockout. He has a playbook to learn, and working out with teammates would help him learn that tremendously. He went home instead, using the lockout as an excuse. Unless I don't know the whole story, and I am sure someone who doesn't know the story either will jump in to defend his actions, this could be the beginning of the work ethic criticisms. Do you want to be great, Cam? If you all want to crown him because he won 14 games in a simple offense in college do so, but not in the name of the Panthers. He has done nothing for us yet.

I mean I could go on about him sitting on the beach reading his playbook, which is much nicer than sitting at home looking at his playbook but naaaahhh. I could make the argument that before he works out with teammates and because he doesn't have use to team facilities(film room) it would be more beneficial for him to learn the playbook and go over the things Rivera/Shula laid out for him. Then I thought whats the use of defending him? So people like you can tear down everything he does next week? He is a panther now. Go ahead an spew whatever you want in my opinion.

Wrong thread. Stop hatin on my boy, I was once a hater but now I'm on the train, because I'm a true fan and not a skeptic. Be a panthers fan or gtfo.

What I'm saying is that Newton does not have any ties to politics, keep it that way. Why relate a franchise player to a political failure? Doesn't make sense to me. Get a new slogan please.

I guess it depends on if you believe the yes we can guy is a political failure. Just because you or your circle of friends believe that doesn't mean everyone feels that way. To each his own. If it makes you feel better you can say Cam isn't a citizen and was born in Haiiti or something. Then you can spend the next 3 years asking for his birth certificate :biggrin5:

Would anyone else care to explain this thread?

Well, you see, the thread creator doesn't want Cam Newton associated with a political failure.

A political failure. You saw that part, right? The political failure part? I mean, he just wants you to know that he doesn't want Cam Newton associated with a political failure. That would be bad if Cam Newton, our new quarterback drafted with the top pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, was associated with a political failure.

    • Yeah lol well the interest isn’t really about seeking stimulation.  I wanted to see how actually bad it was.  And how much of it was women setting him up to be their cash cow.  That is the stuff that leveraged the Panthers into David Tepper’s hands. It is important in that sense.     The worst that I have heard is that he got them in the car and clumsily reached across to help them with their seat belt and made contact. With his arm. That was probably his big slick move. And I can almost guarantee he wasn’t rejected every time. It is easy to picture that action bringing his head close enough to the woman’s head to where he could go in for the kiss if he thought he got the green light.    I really don’t care if JR was a horn dog. We heard all our lives up until the last few years that one of the perks of being really old is that you can flirt with the young women and it is not just tolerated but expected. So he was keeping a tradition alive at some point 😂
    • Well I rubbed some dirt on it and am still here just not optimistic about the future of the QB position. Even what I had accepted as a ceiling raised to an acceptable level turned out to be a bit of a mirage, upon rewatch of the WC game.  Good plays were there yes, but some pretty bad ones too that the good ones late in the game kind of obscured. I have to downgrade that a little.  Especially after rewatching the last 4 plays. I remember the arguments about he did his job the WRs didn’t but that was really just that last muff by Coker I think it was on our final offensive play.   To the future: I know what my level is for paying him and recommitting, but I don’t have any confidence that the team shares my high bar.    But thanks for the pep talk
