Newton on Mike & Mike

My question is if he is saying this now. What is he going to say after a bad lose. "Wasnt my fault Smitty ran the wrong route" to the press. Yeah that will go over well in the locker room.

I think thats 2 completely different situations.

"It's not my fault how the plays were worded"

"It's not my fault he dropped a pass"

Mike n Mike agreed with his comment.

Both think he can become a great QB.

Well, I can see where you would come to that potential connection.

However, I believe it is comparing apples to goats.

But deflecting unfair blame directed at him, is not that same as throwing a teammate under the bus.

He doesn't seem focused on the money or the honor of being drafted. I am on board. I also think his attitude about running is shared by Rivera. You have a guy who runs a 4.56 40 at 6'5" and 250 lbs. That is not Vick, Steve or Vince Young...It is Cam. Teach him not to lower his shoulder but to slide or run out of bounds, but let him go.

I am on board. I also want Clausen to light it up. Moore too. I want depth and people offering us first rounders for our backups next year.

First rounder for our backups?? lol. If they are that good maybe we should keep them..

I don't think he has or is the type of guy to throw a teammate under the bus. Also, what is so bad about saying he never learned complicated verbage? Here is a news flash. It is NOT Cam's fault that he wasn't taught NFL playcalling while at Auburn.

Quit nitpicking... sit back and just enjoy the show.

I realize the weapon Vick is as a QB when he's breaking 20 yard runs, however I prefer this philosophy, being closer to Aaron Rodgers than Vick..

Vick said himself that the fatigue we saw on TV down the stretch was worse than it looked..

Take what the defense gives you, avoid taking big hits, and remember to stay healthy. That's one thing I did notice from Cam's highlights was it appeared he knew when to get out of bounds..

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
