One lady at a Panthers game dropped nothing but gems all game long:

"Why does Jake keep calling all these stupid plays?"

"Who was our starting center in the super bowl? Jon Beason? The offense hasn't been the same since he went to St. Louis."

"Why don't they call a long run play?"

But my brother came up with one that actually stumped me while I was explaining the different positions

"Wait so the full back is in the middle, the quarterback is the closest, and the halfback is the one furthest away?"

"Yeah . . . that really doesn't make any sense now that you mention it . . ."

Was asked "Why do they run up the middle? It never seems to work." And while that may be silly for those who are steeped in the game, for the one we were watching, it was a fairly valid question :(
