You all collect action figures?

Only when they make a Panthers figure, and I don't display them. Just like you said, I collect them. They aren't on display at my home, and my condo doesn't have a man room. I don't collect cards or star wars figures, but Mcfarlane's football figures are pretty cool. So I guess that this is my 'star trek'. Like my girl says, it's sports we're talking about here. So while you're probably more manly than me with your posters of Andy Roddick's wife.... what can I say? I like football that much.

Most of the figures have an alternate jersey, Jake had white with black as the variant, Peppers had the black with the white as the variant, and Smitty has the white with the blue as the variant. There isnt a fig I know of that doesnt have a chase variant available... I still havent decided to go get the Weinke or the S.Davis Panthers variant...

I guess you can all them 'action figures' Zod. I like having them decorating the room with my Panther Fathead and the rest of what I got. Its not like I reenact games with the figs, theyre just for show...

Thats cool that we get another McFarlane, I thought they'd have done a D.Will by now, guess Ima have to get another custom...

You're refferring to figures that have a chase variant. This Newton figure is already a collector level figure. There's really no reason to make it in the alternate jersey since we don't really wear it that often. It should be made in the jerseys that we wear all the time since this might be Newton's only figure. So I'm trying to get folks here to voice that to Mcfarlane company while the figure is in production so he'll listen to us and make us a good newton figure. I think it's going to be worth a lot

People probably made fun of those guys decades ago who collected the first Star Wars toys. You know, the ones that sell for THOUSANDS now. Same with Marvel/DC action figures from back in the day, comic books, etc.

I don't really collect any of those things but I'm not hatin.

      Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.

      I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.

      Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
