ESPN redraft 2006-2008

2006 - I think DeAngelo Williams would have been taken higher than they have him listed if they knew how good he'd be, although I can understand him being a mid-round pick because he's a running back.

2007 - Jon Beason being listed as #15 overall is fuging laughable. He would be a top 10 pick at the latest. Charles Johnson jumped 64 spots to #19 overall which is about where I'd put him.

2008 - This one really is a joke. They have Stewart as the 7th RB taken, and put PEYTON HILLIS before him. I can understand the Otah drop because of his injury concerns(he dropped 10 spots), but putting Hillis, and even Forte before Stewart is a fuging joke lol.

Peyton Hillis is a beast.

That he is. I like Hills, but Stewart crushes him in every way imaginable. His stats in 2009 were much better than Hillis' in 2010. Hillis has had one good season while Stewart has had three.

the issue isn't really who is put ahead of him. it's him falling fifteen spots.

what the hell is that about?

the list is more or less based on what they can remember right off the top of their heads and not on a players body of work as a whole.

Off the top of my head Darrell Revis was not drafted 32nd and Kentwan Balmer was not drafted by the Seahawks.

And Pierre Garcon as the 9th best player in the 2008 draft is one of the funnier things I have read in a long time as is the rest of the list. Riley you should just write sort of heartwarming puff pieces because your knowledge of actual football is not very good any more.

    • Still have yet to see this broken down anywhere by anyone past the details that he's getting 58.4m over three years with 54.3m guaranteed.    That does tell us two things though.  1. His contract was changed this year because he didn't have any guaranteed money left on his contract.  2. All of this years salary is guaranteed. Since his new deal has 40m of 44m guaranteed.
    • Woods has had 600 yards in 2 years with Stroud. He's done. Collins blew up with Stroud and had a ton more everything in Stroud’s rookie year than he did in his first two years combined. Mingo sucks but his rookie season was about the same as Collins. The Texans won 10 games with rookie Stroud. They won 11 total games in the 3 years prior. They had a poo roster before the 2023 draft. The Panthers had a better team before the 2023 draft. That was my point that Stroud (and Anderson) jumped the Texans to another level. No one thought of Nico Collins as a stud before Stroud. They were one of the worst teams in the league from 2020-2022. We won 6 more games over the same time period.
    • 1 here. I don't think we are very good. Maybe we can be entertaining though. Anyway, I would rather be pleasantly surprised with a couple of wins, rather than being angry and annoyed every Sunday because the team is just flat out terrible.
