Boycott

Recommended Posts

I have a life. A nine-month old son, a wife, a business. I don't NEED football to survive.

I will spend my free time and disposable income that would have gone to the NFL somewhere else or possibly save it altogether.

Organizing to boycott this petty bickering amongst a bunch of millionaires is stupid. I am sorry to be rude about it but there are about a thousand things that deserve more attention than they are getting than the NFL.

I hate the NFL for doing this and basically telling the fans that we don't matter at all... it sucks, it hurts, and I feel like I've been giving my lunch money to NFL bullies all these years.

But bet your ass I'm going to be sitting there in BofA Stadium whenever the hell they decide to play football.

I wouldnt mind a boycott of week one....i think the we as fans need a show of force that we care...that said we could never get it to happen or even be effective

Maybe boycotting teams that don't have PSL's would work but not the Panther's. We have at least 62,000 PSL's sold and JR gets that money whether we are at the game or not. For me to boycott 1 game would cost me $133 with my tix and parking so like I said doesn't do anything but cost me money while JR makes his.

I will be back in the Stadium the first week they play a game. Maybe I feel that way because I have PSL's and would have already paid for the tickets. Mabye if that werent the case I wouldnt be as quick to go back.

Now if we could maybe organize a boycott to not buy any beer or food inside to maybe force them to lower their prices then I am all for that :D and that goes for all stadiums and arenas. It cost way to much to eat and drink inside them.

If a twitter post can turn into overthrowing a government, I think fans could put a serious hurtin' on the NFL if they wanted. Key word is if they wanted. I want my football.

What you would be buycotting people is GREED nothing more nothing less. Not football itself but the greed that the players and owners have. End of story.

It's the USA. Good luck explaining to anyone how greed is bad. Your gonna get called a communist and probably a racist if you keep going with this thread.

Just a warning. Do with it what you will.

I'm out; :auto:

the amount of energy and time it would take to create even a 20,000 person boycott, you might as well do something useful like organize a massive party in my honor and charge $25 per person for admission.

Then write the check in my name.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
