It seems like the talk around bringing in an established WR is growing...I figured we could get a poll. Who do you like the best?

*Don't change this to a Smitty thread.

I figured putting the prospects out on a list together could help.

One more thing to note: No one seems to be talking about Breaston, the Jones', & Lance Moore.

no one. I like the potential of our young guys, and i'm pretty damn sure pilares is going to be a beast too.

The only problem with that is how many times have we done this? How many times have we said we don't need to bring in any big name FA wrs because we have "potential" at that position already. And how many times has it failed? I'd rather bring in some one that has been an established wr opposite of Steve Smith because let's face it Steve can't carry us like he used too he is getting older. That way our younger Wrs have another season to develop then if Steve leaves us next year Gettis and Lafell will be in better position to step up and be the Wrs of this team.

      If we move down five slots or less and pick up an additional 2nd? That would seal the deal for me. That 2nd... hard to get someone on the back end of the round or early in the second to give that one up. Still... if that miracle swap is there, take it.

      Now while I agree, there's some stuff that can happen between now and the draft. We may know more about Icky's health. We may offer Njiman better than he's getting on the FA market if our coaches feel he can be a good stop gap or move laterally. There could be some trades happening. Me, I'm hoping Icky can get better, although that's a tall order.  Still, you are right and it should be LT, S and ILB. Those are the chessboard pieces we realistically need right now.

      Thank you.. I don't see why this is such a outrageous idea.. it's not like your wasting a round 1-3 pick on the guy.
