Is it bad news for us if we don't hear that we have agreed to terms with CJ or D-Will today?
no because i doubt many FA's for other teams will have done it either.

just to give you an idea of what's going on out there...

JasonColeYahoo Funny aside, one GM asked an agent to explain rookie salary rules to him today. Oy vey.

GMs are slow moving because they are slow in getting things figured out.

Just spoke with DE Charles Johnson on the phone. Panthers GM Marty is in Miami trying to convince Johnson to re-sign with Carolina.

Johnson said Atlanta and Denver are also interested in signing him.

i like mcnabb as a mentor for a guy needing to learn how to be a leader and a professional (something that i don't think newton is going to have a problem with, but that's another discussion).

i don't like him as an older QB going into a non-WCO. yes, it's "all football" but responsibilities, timing, and reading the field is pretty different. mentor would at least have to have experience in a coryell, imo.

Charles Johnson said the Panthers have made him a very good offer, but he's weighing his options at this point and nothing is done.

if it doesn't work out, you can't blame hurney for lack of effort.
