Wanna trade? Haynesworth for a "ham sandwich"

I wouldn't trade for him simply because of that miserable contract. leave it to the redskins to throw that kind of money

Dear god the misinformation about Haynesworth' contract is rampant.

Haynesworth has a very manageable contract. It is designed for another two years at very modest salaries and then he is cut.

All of the guaranteed money will have to be forked out by Washington.

Just to be clear:

Whatever team trades for Haynesworth will not be saddled with an outrageous contract

Saddled with an outrageous contract? No.

Saddled with a fat, selfish, lazy bastard? Yeah.

So be it. If you don't want Haynesworth because he was fat, selfish, and lazy last year, fine. But don't spew any horse poo about "we can't afford Haynesworth" when in fact Haynesworth is a bargain to any team trading for him, provided that the fat, selfish, and lazy issues are resolved.

I don't think they ever will be.

I wouldn't spend five bucks on him, honestly.

Again, so be it. Just don't claim it is about that contract that Washington inked him to.***

*** not implying Mr. Scot doesn't understand the Haynesworth contract as Mr. Scot understands NFL contracts and free agency very well.

I've never been a big Haynesworth fan. I was watching the game where he stomped Andre Gurode's unhelmeted head with his cleat. Watched him dogging it in Washington last year too.

I know a-- kicking coaches like Rivera sometimes like to try and motivate guys that nobody else seems to be able to motivate, but a lot of times it doesn't work. Hoping Rivera avoids this temptation.

With Haynesworth though if he pulls some stupid poo, you can just cut him (assuming you have traded for him) and there is no financial penalty. Maybe the possibility of being a locker room cancer outweighs the possibility that Haynesworth would suit up and play, but I would take a flyer on him.

Understand the logic. I just come to a different conclusion.
