So you are calling him a bust and suggesting the need to pick him up in the same post?

yes

he's only 24, was picked like #7 overall, and he will be cheap. at worst we bring him to camp, he flops, and we cut him before week one. at best he figures out what went wrong and we have a starting interior linemen.

we desperately need interior linemen

I agree if he wouldnt demand a huge contract. I always find myself wanting to take chances on players like these..Sometimes you look like a genius, other times you say you tried.

By the standards of the num 7 pick overall, he has been a bust, and the expected him to be a sack machine which most DT's not named Ndamukong Suh aren't. Quietly had a solid year last year, 44 Tackles and 3 sacks, not mindblowing by any stretch, but he is still only 24 and with the right coaching could become a good starter. Hes being released by the texans bc they are moving to a 3-4 def and he isn't really a NT, while he could play DE in a 3-4 he isn't really geared for that. He was scheduled to make over $3 Mill this year, thats a lot to play a DE in a system that features LB's. The only one who really ever gets paid on the DL in a 3-4 is the NT.

He converted all 13 of his field goal tries with a 100% conversion rate that led all FBS kickers with at least 12 attempts. Fitzgerald was also perfect on his 14 extra points. He will compete with Matthew Wright for the Panthers’ kicking job in training camp. Harrison-Hunte went undrafted despite a strong showing at the Combine. He’s an older prospect who will turn 25 by the start of his rookie year, but he had just one season of sustained production at SMU after five years at Miami. Still, he earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2024 with 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks and will push for a roster spot in Carolina as an athletic interior disruptor.   more at the link https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/05/panthers-sign-19-undrafted-free-agents
