Career Rushing Stats, YPC Basis, DeAngelo Vs. Barry Sanders

Deangelo Williams

841 carries, 4,211 yards gained, average yards per carry is at 5.007

Barry Sanders

3,062 carries, 15,269 yards gained, average yards per carry is at 4.986

Just sayin.....

If he stays healthy, absolutely worth the money!

And people say that Emmitt or Walter, or Adrian or you name him are better.

Not a chance

All the stats, based on running alone, suggest otherwise. Always have, always will. Going to be a great year....

Okay, I understand that Barry had more carries each year, and one can always bring up the argument that "he is more rested, that is why he has stats like that". Other people are in a two back system, and they DON'T get stats like that. Again, there are reasons why....

Are you old enough to actually have seen Barry Sanders run?? If you were, you would know that as good as Williams is, he is no Barry Sanders. Sanders got his yards on an awful Detroit team with a bad offensive line. Williams for the most part has had a much better line than Sanders ever had. Sanders often ran 30 yards to gain five or six whereas Williams often makes 3 yards before he runs into any defensive man.

    • lmao that's a good point; but at the same time I think and HOPE Canales learned from how he operated last year, only giving us one real look against the Bills that had people shouting 'Super Bowl'...only to come out flat.
    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
