Yes all football players drafted make an impact day 1. They come out of college flawless, and know everything. Some people on this forum just piss me off. Can we please give draftees a few years to learn and grow into their positions before passing judgement?

Not many of us are ready to give up on him, but I think there's a reasonable level of disappointment at how he has done so far that is fair given his time in the league and his production and where he was drafted. By no means am I saying he is a bust, but I am really expecting more out of him this year.

for what we gave up for him, he hasn't done much. people expected him to "replace peppers" and he hasn't come close to that.

he had moments last year, but I think many of us are tired of seeing him spinning into the ground.

Peppers has been one of the most dominant defensive ends for the past decade - impossible shoes to fill. I would like to see EB break out, but I don't have an issue with him. He is working hard and not getting in trouble.

I would love for Armanti and Everette to have breakout years.

Forgetting QBs who often have started slower, what higher draft picks have recently started slow before really breaking through? I guess Charles Johnson is a good example for the Panthers.

I can think of more off the top of my head that had a great rookie year and then disappeared.

everette brown is actually very solid in what he dos, even against the run. he's gotten a lot better and has done well with opportunities he's had, esp. last year. has he lived up to what we gave up for him? meh....i don't know. i do know that he's earned a shot at getting more playing time and with us cutting loose brayton, i know he'll be getting more. i'm confident that he will do really well this year in the pass rushing game.

it doesn't bother me if we start hardy above him. tat dude is an unexpected beast. what matters is that brown gets playing time. where he was drafted doesn't matter. the only thing that matters is that he rips it up when he gets on the field.

Just FTR, Brown was a 2nd round pick/43rd overall...not a 1st rounder. Also, you can add James Anderson to the list of players that took a few years to develop. Sometimes it just happens that way.

True, However we gave up a 1st round pick to get him.

Even had we not given up a 1, I would still be disappointed to date.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
