The Doctor is in ... Zod's season prognosis...

I'd hate to try and make a prediction before seeing who we bring in at CB to replace Marshall. There is also the question of who will start at QB, and for how many games. Let's assume Cam starts the entire season.

AZ - L

GB - L

JAGS - W

CHI - L

N.O - L

ATL - L

WASH - L

MINN - W

TENN - W

DET - L

IND - L

TB - L

ATL - L

HOU - L

TB - L

N.O - L

3-13 unless Cam has an incredible season.

I just don't get how one can predict their team to go 3-13. Just don't get it!

I'm sure the Lions thought 6-10 or 4-12 AT WORST for YEARS. And we're nowhere near THAT bad.

5-11 is our basement this season. 10-6 is on top of the roof, and I think anything around 8-8 means a pretty good year.

True, but I just don't get how one could go game by game and pick our losses. And to have one of them be against an AZ team that we've beat two years in a row. Just don't get it!

Trust me I'm not happy about our situation. When Matt Moore was groomed to replace Jake, and then turned out to be terrible, I wanted heads to role. We're in a bad situation, so I'm trying to be objective. On the positive side, our running game could explode like in 2008, which would allow Cam to throw a limited number of passes, and give us a better chance for success. But I think teams are going to load up the box, and sit back and wait for Cam to throw. If he had a few years of experience, then I'd be fine with that. But I don't think he knows our offense at this point, and I doubt he'll know it all that well at the start of the season. I'm hoping for 8-8, but I think it would be silly to predict it.

Take a look at who was QB for AZ last season when we played them. Who is their QB now? We're currently hurting at the CB position, and AZ has some pretty good WRs.

Teams knew we were running in 2008 and stacked the box in 2008. We still ran just dandy. I remember that one game where the broncos started a linebacker instead of a safety. Didn't work out too well for them.

On top of that we have way more receivers than we did in 08. All we need is for our QB to be as good as 08 Jake Delhome.

The game will be unstoppable against teams outside the top 3 or 4 defenses in the league.

I'll probably lose my voice every game if we have a rushing attack like in 2008.

Better than Ed Werder on Spirts Center...

He said the Panthers were 2-15.

I mean I know we sucked, but damn... U have to give us an extra loss? Guess He figured that if we would have played during our bye week we would have lost??

Lol, he also mistakenly said Oliver Luck for Andrew Luck and remained stone-faced when the woman back in the studio corrected him.

I think reality in the NFL has recently proven......if you have a roster like ours and you can't win 5-8 games with a rookie QB......then you simply have poor coaching.

Hope not. BUt not all rookie QBs started out on a 2-14 team, had a team with a new coach, new philosophy, no OTAs, etc. I am hoping for the playoffs, and I see it as possible, but not expecting it.

With question marks at DE, DT, CB, QB, WR, and RG, what do you mean when you say, "When you have a roster like ours?" Not being smart, just curious.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
