Would anyone else feel comfortable with Anderson starting?

If Cam isn't ready (and he probably won't be), I'd rather let Clausen steer the ship for a season. He continues to develop and we get his value up higher.

We're not contending this season, we're progressing. Sinking time into Anderson is a zero gain, he can counsel from the sideline.

I won't watch

You honestly wouldn't watch your team play? They could put a Bo-Bo the one armed monkey out there at QB and I would still watch every game.

As much as I want Cam to get in there and play if Anderson can help us win games I'm all for it. I'd prefer he stay number 3 though because when it comes time to cut ties with guys we can get more value from Jimmy if he does well. I just want to win and have fun watching it.

He might be the best of the 3 right now.

That's kinda what I was thinking.

I will watch it again and see, and I have not been to training camp, but he does look a little more polished. As he should.

IMO a vet in there until the bye would give Cam and Jimmy some much needed confidence and time. I just don't want to beat up Cam too early, or beat on Jimmy any more than we already have.

Just wonder if 5 games of experience is worth gambling with the psyche.

He has a leg up on Cam and Jimmy because he is a "pro bowler" and veteran but he's had less reps with the starting O-Line than both of them and he was playing last night against third and fourth stringers so I'm reserving judgment on him. He seems like kind of a douche too. But if he plays well against first teamers (which I doubt we'll ever find out since Cam and Jimmy will be splitting those reps) then I'm all for him starting a few weeks.

    • Exactly.  I think a lot of people have this image of a bad QB in their head, and Bryce doesn't fit that image.  But just stack him up against the other 31 guys 1 by 1 and it's tough to find many that make me glad we have Bryce.
    • His mother has literally said she finds the nickname disrespectful to her and the name she gave him. In the Polynesian culture, names are often given with a deeper meaning behind it than just being their name, so shortening the name to something else, yes, is disrespectful to them. "Tet" isn't a nickname like other people are bringing up how people don't get to choose their "nickname", it's the shortening of his name so it's just easier for people to say his name for them.  That shortening of his name is something he and his family find disrespectful and they don't like it. But sure, just keep going with the "people don't get to pick their own nickname" line.
    • If we divide the league up into quarters you need to be able to make 8 worse starting QBs for him not to be bottom tier. Who are they?
