I just hate for the kid to get shellshocked waiting for the rest of the team to gel.

He's a big boy, though, and this is what he signed up for, so hopefully he can handle it.

I still think he is going to be a terrific QB when all is said and done. A lot of his problems now seem to be timing, i.e. learning when the receivers will become open. He'll get it down.

      That is the calculus that got me slammed for question him pre draft. I mean I drew indignant crowds of posters with a single questioning of their lil almighty.  The margins at this level are so small and the velocity deficit allows these elite athletes to close on the target. And this is a league where they parse 40 times in 100ths of a second.  And many plays are made by a small fraction of a second. You give that little but back to the defender the pass is defended.

      I think scouting and analyzing each draft class makes more sense than a scripted  approach

      He basically pulled a The Golden Calf of Bristol. Sucked for three and a half quarters then finally got his poo together and pulled out the win. But so far that flash has been the anomaly.
