Hurney likes where we are at Cornerback per Reed

Folks may not like this, but I'm hearing the Panthers may stand pat at CB for now. Team isn't in love with any of the veteran CBs out there.

He is really oblivious if he doesn't think we don't need another CB, unless they plan on converting Pugh into a CB.

Lito is a used-to-be that is mediocre at best. Saw enough of him as a Jets fan and do not want him here. Remember how Ricky Manning had one or two good seasons and he had name recognition..... IMO, it's the same thing with Lito. I feel like he and Richard Marshall bring the same to the table, only Marshall is younger. I do hope we can make a trade for a solid #2 CB. Something like a 4th or 5th rounder to a team that has a surplus and wouldn't mind letting one go. I do agree Onebadasscat in that Martin or Godfrey could see time at CB.... both played CB in college.

Um per NJPanthers12:

So Steve Reed and Hurney must be wrong.

I think we will sign a corner it just wont be one that will be impacting the team. The corner will be a scrub we use for depth

Lito is old and not what we need.

I think Martin could end up playing some corner since that is a position he played in college.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
