For steak there is no place better than The Chop House, period.

For seafood you have to travel out to the 'burbs (close to me) and go to Bob Chin's.

For pizza it is Giordanos or Malnatis.

For eclectic/something different try The Girl and the Goat or the Purple Pig

For fine dining in is Alinea.

I am something of a food snob, and have lived here all my life.

I can help if you PM with where you are staying if you want to avoid taxi stuff that would be too far away our restaurant choice by cuisine as well as the type of guests that will be accompanying you.

I just got into Chicago today. Caught the "L" in to town from O'Hare, dropped my bags in the hotel room, and walked down to eat dinner.

At TGI Fridays.
