TBH the DTs were not horrible but the big guys need rest. As you said we need role players not super stars.

I've been reading up a lot on Tommie Harris and why he was cut the past few days.

Basically it boils down to this. He played excellent in the preseason, he was the best player on the Colts d-line in the games that he played. He stuffed the run and got pressure.

Then, in the locker room and in practice, he wanted to be treated like their top defensive lineman, and be respected more than Freeney and their other players who have been there for years. The Colts didn't like that prima donna attitude, so they cut him.

It had nothing to do with ability, and he seemed poised and ready for a return to form when he was playing for them.

My verdict: sign the fug out of him. We have Ron Rivera, a man he immensely respects, and as such I think we'd be practically the only team in the league that could tame the attitude and return him to form. I honestly think he could be a pro-bowler again here.

You didnt want Mallett in the third b/c of character concerns. Garrard seems to be a moron (ok, he isnt the best QB in the world either).

But now you want a headcase? One thing is being bad; I think that Rivera will fix the biggest failures in this season.

The other thing is a sniffy guy who could destroy the locker room...Not good.

Because I'd rather win than be the Brady Bunch. We have Steve Smith and Jeremy Shockey already. Expecting perfect character is unrealistic and it doesn't win you football games.
