Most people know Des Moines and Ames. And...well.

McLachlan said a patrol officer was tipped off by an off-duty detective to a car making an illegal lane change on Interstate 25, about 115 miles south of Denver

Bailey, 37, told the officer he owned an auto body shop in California, and was en route to Iowa to look at a 1955 Chevy, police said.

The officer became suspicious because when Calderon, 35, was questioned she appeared nervous. She said the pair were going to visit her brother in Iowa but couldn't say where, police said

Small town cops are the worst. I lived in Boone for several years and I can't tell you how many times I got pulled over for literally nothing.

I was born and raised in Boone, the only times I ever got pulled over in Boone I was actually doing something wrong. Beech Mountain, and Banner Elk....completely different story. When I worked as a ski instructor on Beech, if one of those dickholes saw my car they would literally immediately pull out behind me and follow me to where ever I was going or to the town limits just waiting on me to mess up.

    • Smitty carrying that tank around...can't stay young forever.
    • While I agree with you in spirit my gut and my heart says I'm not falling for this again until I see consistent results across the entire upcoming season. Then I'll breathe a sigh of relief and truly feel better about the future.
    • After some time to process and also in light of other small markets being successful and not requiring top overall picks to compete. This years finals looming large. While I readily acknowledge the league office clearly despises our franchise and has absolutely no qualms about us getting the short end of any stick in the draft lottery. The Hornets may just be doomed regardless due to their own mismanagement and inability to draft and develop legitimate playoff worthy talent. And we seemingly always pick the wrong player in the draft. I mean at this point we can even take a hard look at the 2020 draft and someone like Haliburton going pick 12 while Ball went 3rd. Did we draft the wrong guy or are we just that inept at any level of talent development or is it a mixture of both? Looks the latter right now.
