Kenneth Moore? What's he got?

Ok... I recall when this guy was picked up last year, that people were kinda high on him for a "future" thing.. or the fact that if we needed a someone in the return game if I recall.

Then I read this article: http://www.panthers.com/Common/Article.aspx?id=44528

He seems to be pretty determined, and I guess being pretty local, he's got kinda a "home town kid" sorta thing going on.

What are the chances of him actually making the field do you think?

I don't know much about him, so if any one's got any info on him, that'd be cool too.

I looked up his Bio here: http://wakeforestsports.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/moore_kenneth00.html

I'm just wondering what he might have to offer, or is he more a "fodder" sorta guy now?

He seems pretty determined to get out there in that Article from Panthers.com. Seems to have his focus right.

Looking at what we have at the moment, I see the line up at WR as:

1. Smitty

2. Moose

3. Jarrett

4. Robinson

5. ???

on the team right now listed they have Kenneth Moore and Kevin McMahan.

Being Moore is local.. is that pretty much the only reason he got an article about him on the site ya think?

Anyway... I figured I'd ask because it's something different to talk about.

He definitely has some potential. I think he ended up being a 5th round pick, although it was the Lions who drafted him. I watched him play at Wake and he is well-rounded as he played wide out and in the backfield as well as returning kicks. Im not sure being local has much to do with why he is on the roster.

He will be this years Jason Carter.

Jason Carter could very well be this years Jason Carter. If he would have not had the injury he would have made the roster thats for sure. Moore has alot of talent to battle this year.

Based on athleticism, talent level and speed, I think Moore has the edge as a WR and return man. Carter is good, but Moore IMO is better. It will be an interesting battle in TC to say the least. It would be nice to see Moore developed as a 3rd WR at some point.

he's from my hometown and played at Wake Forest, he's good fellas. Got good hands and hard to tackle....but he's small, the biggest quality is his youth. The Panthers have the chance to mold him into the athlete that they want...should be interesting to see if he makes the field though

he will be, though. he'll be cheap for TC.

If he's so cheap why has he not been signed yet. I doubt his contract would makeup the top 53 that count agaisnt the cap. I'm not saying he won't be on the team come training camp but if he's not already signed I don't think it's a garuntee like some are making it out to be.

If he makes it to the WR position, it will be kinda cool hearing, "pass complete from Moore to Moore for a TD"!!!!

Then the chants of Moore, Moore, Moore from the crowds will ring out!

Go Panthers!

it would be cool if we had that and had johnson and johnson and the DEF side of the ball as DE

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
