it hasn't been a real priority for years in FA, trades, or the draft. it's been an afterthought and it's bit us in the butt annually.

the way they address it is drafting a QB and hoping that they can turn him into a josh cribbs type returner. after all, a couple teams have done it so we should, right? :lol:

of course i guarantee you that if they did have a good ST pickup that most the people in here would start griping about it.

They were always good until Scott O'Brien left. It was always just a given there was nothing to worry about in that department.

I have no problem with this ranking. I'm resigned to our special teams being bad, but if we can at least eke out of the bottom five before the year's out I'll be happy.

It's hard to imagine that the worst thing about the Fox tenure (special teams) is actually worse now than it ever was? First issue? Paying a sorry kicker 4 million a year.

When we had Scott O'Brien 99-2004. Since then we have been mostly bad.

Hogan will probably play a lot of special teams if he plays this year, and that kid looks like he plays with an edge. But really special teams is on coaching, its not really a skill type deal.
