It seems like they want him to earn the RT job for the long-term. He's played pretty well for an UDFA, but also has had some penalties and given up a couple sacks.

Can he be our long-term starter at RT or do we need to address the position in the offseason?

Happened with Gross as well. I think he's doing pretty alright. If he doesn't work put we alway have Lee Ziemba to check out.

But right off the bat, I think Jordan Gross had had the same amt of boneheaded plays as him.

Too early to tell. He's played pretty decent, but he's made some really stupid plays as well. Those could very easily be attributed to being a rookie and being as such he's played pretty well, especially considering he was undrafted.

He did great against mathews and GB earlier in the year, but his play has dropped off since then. He is playing like a rookie, showing flashes of greatness and then showing everyone that he is still a rookie. for an UDFA though, I am impressed. if he keeps working, he could be damn good.

Regardless, a swing tackle is a must in the upcoming draft or FA. Gross isn't getting any younger and Otah.... well you know.

What I saw from the stands yesterday strikes me as mistakes of the rookie variety. I do think Bell has the drive to knuckle down and learn from his mistakes. He could be the guy if Otah isn't able to come back.

Bell is taking his lumps early. Sometimes he's impressive, other times not so much. The staff clearly wants him to be one of our long-term building blocks that we can use to form a championship team. I think he'll really have to under-perform the rest of this year for them to consider drafting his position high, especially with all the help we need elsewhere.
