Dalton impressive even in defeat. He could have went out and lost 30-3 or something but he steps up, makes big plays and loses in a close game to the defending AFC Champions

Some other dude stepped up and made big plays in a losing effort against the defending Super Bowl champions in his second career start earlier this year, so he must be really awesome.

He played like the rookie we thought he was

Did you watch that game? He actually played much better than I would expect a rookie to vs the defending AFC champs.... the same way Cam played better than expected to the defending Superbowl champs... even though both still lost they played better in those game than the rookies we thought they were.

By that thinking, you could say Cam reached his ceiling after 4 games.

Both have a long way to go. Dalton was a passer in college. Understandable that in that category, he will be ahead of Cam.

Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Cam has better offense and Dalton has a better defense, and so on and so on.

lol I guess it's a little late to point out that that was a response to something a well known Dalton fan on this board posted after a bad game by Cam.

But hey today was important because there's now a new stat Dalton leads Newton in: being benched.

Where is Sylvianlight and Grits? When Dalton and the Bengals get blown out nowhere to be found. If Dalton was as good as they claim theyd critique him when he struggles like they do Cam. The fact they wont and rather hide under their bed shows just how fragile their belief in him is. Elite QBs win big time games in this league.

Seriously? Dalton played less than average on the road against the defending Super Bowl Champions. He didn't turn the ball over and passed for a TD.

Do you guys forget the game against Tennessee at home? How'd Cam play in that game?

I'm not saying Dalton deserves ROTY at all, but good lord you guys are so one-sided.

Cam took heat that week too and was accused of regressing. Meanwhile the Dalton fanboys are MIA when he loses and completes less than 50% of his passes. They cant mustard up the courage to critque their guy. If they cant use him to slight Cam, he's worthless to them and serves no purpose

They wont even post about him. Some faith, some belief. Dont hold 1 guy to a standard and then run from doing the same to another guy you like. Thats called bias.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
