So who do you want with our 3rd overall pick?

this team has way to many holes, bpa.

for the rest of the draft, i agree.

RT and OLB need to be addressed in the draft quicker than anything else, though, and i don't like picking up an LB in the first and i don't trust an OT that you don't/shouldn't pick up in the first. franchise OTs don't make it to FA and they are far too expensive to trade for and far too important to draft a guy later and develop as a project.

i don't think we have the luxury of time to develop a DT. I would rather pick up (an) experienced one(s) in FA. we have enough inexperience in the middle of that line.

a QB with time/protection, decent accuracy, and good decision making skills (which is what we have) should be able to do well with a mediocre or just better than average receiving corps (WR & TE) and i would say our receiving corps as is (esp. with the return of gettis) would fall into that latter category. look at the pats, saints, and packers as an example there. any WR we bring in, unless they are an elite talent (which i wouldn't pass up kalil for), should be a good and very experienced returner for him to warrant a roster spot along side smith, gettis, and lafell.

i don't see CB as being an immediate need. i like gamble, capt, and butler and have enough faith in logan to warrant holding off on CB unless we see an elite returner prospect available who is decent enough for a spot in the rotation at CB.

i'd be fine with us drafting a ballhawking safety in round 3 or 4, but i think that drafting an RT, OLB, and PR guy is more important.

Lol, trust me I am a huge Alshon fan, but lets be honest hes not a number 1 receiver at the pro level. I think he would be great in the number 3 spot, just for this conversation I dont think he is worth our top draft pick.

there arent many things worse than draft talk in November.

Eh.

As a football fan, the Draft is one of the most exciting days of the year for me. I love the Draft.

Does it suck that we're talking about the #2 pick? Yeah, it does. But, does it suck talking about the Draft? Never.

i agree we have to address the OT, OLB, CB, DT AND WR/PR. But since we have holes everywhere we need to go bpa with the positions we need them at. OLB and DT should be address through FA period.

i have no faith in captain what so ever in coverage. i seen in earlier games teams are picking on him staying away from CG of course, but when he is on an island teams are going for him and i cant blame them.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
