Functinal Alcoholics

I'm a nurse and am slowly coming to the realization that I might be a functional alcoholic... Are you one?

So my questions are this; are you a functional alcoholic, and if so is it necessarily a bad thing? It seems to help me get through week to week. It's also easier then having to feel feelings. It also makes awful Panther loses a lot easier to handle. I know at the Vikings game I spent a god-awful amount on beer at the stadium and later at the bar on liquor to forget that loss!

So what say you huddle?

Edited to say that the error in spelling in the thread title was due to me being an alcoholic

What and how much do you consume on a day to day basis?

A good rule to go by is: anything under a fifth of liquor and 8 joints a day, you don't really have a problem yet.

But if it's 9 joints, you might want to talk with someone.

I've known a few....they never got hammered per se, just kept slowly drinking all day keeping a buzz and going on. One of my parents best friends was one for about 30 years. He drove a flower truck all day and would hit the ABC store in the morning and nurse a sprite and gin drink all day. Never got a DUI in 30 years amazingly.

    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
    • No We have been making excuses for him for 3 years, and we have gave him a hundred chances  Bryce is a bust, and we need to cut him now and stop wasting everyone's time
