Year 2 of rebuilding going on, where are we better than last year except QB?

That's a goddamn revisionist lie. Sick of you people lying for this front office. People were asking Hurney about the rebuilding process before last season.

In what way was last year about rebuilding? Get mad at the team for last year's mistakes haunting us this year. Last year was lockout prep 1.0

Honestly though, I don't expect SMF to ever have anything positive to say, the past few years I've read this board all you do is bitch and moan.

I actually agree that last year was a stripped down year.

Richardson even said that he got rid of all of the veterans to force Fox to play the young guys, not because he wanted to rebuild, but because he wanted to prepare for the Lockout. This isn't "lying for Hurney", it's the truth.

injuries aren't an excuse but when one position on the team is utterly decimated teams can exploit the hell out of it and that's what we see happening. cam and the coaching staff have had their problems but this loss was almost entirely on that LB corps.

    • Hey if they could beat Seattle… tiebreaker head to head over GB, LARms, Seattle… win out the record is 11-6.  Now rap my knuckles for suggesting we win out, but that would be some funny poo. Talk about sneaking up on people.
    • I expected 6 wins this season. I need to see the Panthers blow by that now that they exceeded it by 1. I like how Canales has schemed around the weaknesses on offense in the passing game. I am impressed with the receivers, run blocking, running back combo and secondary communication in zone. Defense and QB need more consistency. The improvement of the defensive play calling and critical 3rd down and 4Q passing when trailing is going to be what I am looking for going into the playoffs. If the Panthers can consistently regain the lead after trailing over the next 4 games, I can see them competing in the playoffs and worth a reevaluation of the last 2 seasons' weaknesses. This is the prove it or lose it moment in their Panthers careers for Young and Evero. No excuses.
    • He's on the smaller size for a center (5'8" 175lbs) and he is a bit of a liability in the faceoff circle. But, he's a proven 60 pt player with room to grow. I'd still rather go get TT from Buffalo. Rossi would be a great consolation prize, though.
