Stewart: Only 10 Rush attempts

There aren't a ton of carries going around when trying to run a veritcal passing attack and splitting carries evenly among 3 runners.

This.

Keep in mind many of Stew's opportunities come in the passing game, as well.

D-Will and Cam are both talented when running the football, so it makes sense we'd want to get them involved as well.

This is way more about utilization than who is the best back....we have awesome ball-carriers. Two RB's and the QB....Sick of the arguments about "deserves" and contracts....Just use the tools you have wisely. That's up to the coaches. I can only hope Chud uses this year to refine his offense and make it his own, tailored to the talent he has at his disposal.

Stewart was our best runner today, but he's not been that way all season. Their styles differ enough that DWill and Stew will have better games against different opponents.

ever get tired of having the same conversation every week? lol

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
