Im about to start a new routine. I am about 6 foot 2 and weighed a lean 185 throughout highschool, but the past couple of years I have neglected myself. I now weigh between 235 and 240. My goal is to get down to 200 pounds by May and down to my 185 goal by June. So any of the tips you guys have are awesome.

You can probably get down to 200 by May easily. Its the last 15 pounds that'll be really tough. Most people hit a plateau around 4-6 months where the weight stops dropping as quickly. Instead of dropping a few pounds each week, you might only see a loss of about 3-5 pounds a month.

Went from 293 to my current weight of 203. Still losing. Hit a wall recently with smokking (have sense quit) and am going back to the gym. I got comfortable! But I gotta keep chugging along. I have a tall, muscular frame from playing college football in the mid 2000's.....im 6'1. So its not falling off as easy any more. Time to get rolling. I wanna be 190ish

Wife asked for a divorce... I quit eating in favor of drinking and started smoking again. I never sit still and am constantly out and about doing something or someone. Monster Energy drinks keep me awake during the day and Ambien puts me to bed a night. Lost 30 lbs on what I call it the Charlie Sheen Roller Coaster diet.

I don't think that is one of Dr. Oz's preferred diet plans but it's worked for me. Now excuse me while I pie my awesome contribution to this thread.

lol...I really do....went golfing with some buddies and I was taking a piss in the great outdoors and they said it looked like I had been drinking water from a nuclear power plant as much as it glowed green.

I love that stuff but man it gives me a headache everytime. Probably not the best energy supplement if you're going to be sitting idle but need to be alert. My brother in law drinks the stuff religiously, but he has an active job.

I need to get off my ass and lose some. I'm heavier than I've ever been. Bigjohn doesn't need to be this big.

it took my g'mother, my mom and a few random strangers telling me I was fat to my face that got me goin'!

You would've thought I weighed 300 lbs or something...fuging assholes....but then again, it worked and I lost the weight...so they can all go suck it!

    • Yeah if Im running 70 in a 65 and your in my backseat Im locking my cruise control there and if you dont get the message Ill drop to the posted speed limit. Im at or in excess of the posted speed and have no obligation to yield the lane.
    • I love Chubba.  Been a fan since I heard about his story when he was at Ok St.  and no doubt his production and progression is impressive, but this is my one nitpick - he was always touted for his speed, having come from a track background, so I am honestly surprised he doesn’t have more breakaway runs for TDs than what he has achieved thus far.  But to be fair, it often feels like he is constantly having to break tackles, so when he breaks the last one where it would just be nothing between him and the end zone, that usually took long enough that a defender from the opposite side of the field got an angle to catch up.  I really hope with the receiver additions, Bryce moving forward with confidence and proving that ending stretch last season wasn’t an aberration, and another year of synergy for the OL, Chubba is gonna have some wide open running this season.  He is definitely special.  Proud of him and happy he is getting rewarded for all his hard work…
