If he were to take a pay cut to play here it would be amazing. But I'd rather see that money go to defense and pick up a cheaper WR from the free agent pool, which has some pretty decent depth this year.

Either way it will saturate the market a little bit more and might work out for us if we jump in on a guy like Stevie Johnson or Robert Meachem while the big names of Jackson and Bowe are getting the attention.

We need to invest money into catching our defense up with our offense if we're being realistic. We can have the best offense in football next season but if we have the worst defense then we'll probably still be a borderline team.

NE says you can have a great offense and the worst defense and be a #1 seed.

But I do agree with your point, I'd rather our FA money spent on someone that isn't 1 more f-up from a year long suspension. Alcohol problems typically don't just go away.

Cheaper, not a headcase that can be suspended for an entire year with one more incident, and just as explosive a big play guy. He's been just as productive as Vjax has been in an offense that is markedly less passing oriented, not to mention having garbage QBs.

Yea, but I think Bowe would be actually be more expensive. He's younger and fewer problems. I do think Bowe would be a great fit if we can get him without crippling our ability to go after a good defensive FA or two. I'd rather have him than VJax.
