Jay Gruden Favorite To Win Job In Jacksonville

per Albert Breer on Twitter, though you'll have to take my word for it because I can't link it. This is good news, but obviously isn't official.

You should be hoping and praying that Houston wins this weekend, I'd say a big obstacle to this getting done would be Cincy making a playoff run and Jacksonville running out of patience waiting for their guy. Send Cincy home early, and they can tie things up early and we are one step closer to holding on to our brilliant OC.

and this has what to do with the Panthers?

it's panthers related because chud is one of the guys they are interested in. if gruden is the favorite to win the job, then that means that it's more likely that chud stays.

i dont know about anyone else, but until all the head coaching vacancies are filled, i'm not going to be settled. what happens with any one of them could have a huge bearing on what our coaching staff looks like next year.

i'm not saying that we need to be focused on all of them, but when someone in your coaching staff has been listed as someone a team is interested in and it's someone as valuable to the team as chud, it's panthers related.

Isn't the Jags new owner from Illinois. It would make sense that Jay Gruden would be familiar to him being with the Bengals. I also think that Gabbert would be better in a West Coast offense. He is good with quick short timing routes. He doesn't have the arm strength from what I saw for a vertical passing game like we play.

But I also think other teams will be interested in Chud like Tampa Bay.

I can't believe it, but everyone is saying Mike Sherman is the strong favorite for Tampa Bay.

Maybe the other NFL South owners got together, hired a hypnotist, and had him implant the idea in Glazer's brain, because that does not look like a good hire to me, or one that will energize the fan base.

I have just came to the fact that if Chud wants a job as a HC, he will find one this year. Most good OCs have been or dont want to be HC's. Are we fuged if he leaves... YES but hopefully we will find someone good to take his place. I just have a feeling that what Chud has said and what Rivera has said leads to the fact that if Chud finds a team he likes, he is gone.

You're posting with ignorant ass rednecks. Get used to it.

Rivera's resume was probably more impressive and it took him YEARS to find a HC gig. The pool of potential hires is actually pretty big and there are still very few jobs. I think Chud moves on next season if he duplicates his promise.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
