So Right now...Peyton or Eli?

But as I said somewhere in this thread, everyone has the gap SO wide, when it shouldn't be. Peyton is one of the best ever, and Eli is on his way.

Can't get around what hes done.

Sure the gap is wide to some and it shouldnt, BUT in my view there's no doubt Peyton is better. Eli is really great and is in my book just got into the elite category with this win, but he also is on my tread line with that. i understand that he's won more rings and more in the playoffs than Peyton, but he also missed the playoffs last year and i cant get that out of my head when i compare the two. i DO think Eli is more clutch than Peyton is, no doubt there, but other than that, i take a YOUNGER Peyton, now today, i take Eli due to Peyton's neck. if he isnt 100% and cant play 3 more years, then how can i take Peyton??

I don't get why many want to place Peyton ahead of Eli. I've always felt that Eli was the better of the two and Peyton, like Andrew Luck, was the more media "preferred" QB.

First off...Eli plays in one of the most demanding football markets. Look at who the Gaints play thoughout the season and who the Colts play. Second, unlike Peyton, Eli didn't have the priviledge to have a team built around him. Eli joined a storied franchise where SB wins was/is the bottomline. It took Peyton 8 years to get his first SB win. Eli did it in three. I really don't think the NY fans would have waited patiently 8 years for Eli to take the Gaints to the SB. Look at Sanchez and the Jets. He went to the Play-offs twice in his first three seasons. He didn't make it this time around and the media wanted him out.

Also, it took both Peyton and Eli four more years to get back to the SB but unlike Peyton, Eli won his second. So, only real difference between Peyton and Eli are the season MVP wins, which IMO, are subjective. But, unlike Peyton, Eli has won both his SB MVPs. And, Peyton's first MVP win came 6 years after he turned Pro, so it did take him awhile to get the first one.

As I said before, the difference between these two brothers is media preference. In the end, Peyton may have won more battles then Eli but Eli has won the battles he needed to win to get to and win the wars. And he has done it under the hot scrutinizing lights of a very large football market.

What exactly do you have to support saying Eli has always been better cause the facts don't support it?

Peyton is the better QB. Kind of in the Marino comparison. Eli though plays for a better overall team and coach. Defense is stressed with the Giants whereas Offense was aimed to carry the Colts. If its based just on rings then Trent Dilfer and Peyton are equal....uhm no.

Let's be real, if you were to put up Peyton against Eli in an eight year period, which is as long as Eli has been in the NFL, Eli is better. They were even discussing that tonight on NFLN. Peyton may be a bit better than Eli in stats during the season but as far as actual accomplishments, which means SB wins, Eli has the upper hand. And Eli has a better post season run than his brother.
