The next Drew Carter...

lol this guy is a troll, going through his pre draft posts he said he preferred tyrod taylor over cam and said cam had terrible mechanics that wouldn't work in the NFL, cam had issues coming out of college but throwing mechanics weren't one of them. Now he is all over him.

IIRC he is a VT fan, so that explains the Tyrod love.

But this thread is so full of dildos, it stinks to high heaven...

Gettis is/was not in the doghouse, Drew Carter was a waste of a roster spot, Nanee was brought in because of camp injuries/push Lafell/knowledge of the system, and for God sakes, our QB just a had one of the greatest rookie seasons EVER, can we at least be optimistic for one fuging month of the offseason?!?

First, I find it a little funny how Lafel managed to escape Rivera's doghouse, but Goodson could not. I suppose that playing a position of need is an advantage.

I think it has to do with Lafell showing he wanted to put in the work and clearly it made a big difference over the course of the season.

Drew Carter was a injury plagued wide reciever during his whole career stemming back to his college days. He did not have Gettis route running, strong hands, or determination to succeed. Nice try though.

I threw out a proposal IF hes not the answer...How in the hell based off one 500 yard year can you say he has strong hands, route running and the determination to succeed? Please explain...

Second, Rivers was happy with Gettis in TC. That alone gives me hope he is considered a candidate for that #2 WR slot. IF he can justify the faith Rivera had/has in him, we may just have our #2.

Third, Gettis is a 6'3 220lb WR with speed. He has the potential to become a beast. If that can happen Cam may have yet another weapon.

Lastly, the faith Rivera has in Gettis is exactly why we are not drafting a WR in the early rounds. Now if some 6'5 240lb WR from Whoknowswhere State is on some scouts list, we may draft him late or invite him to camp. But, we are not using an early pick on a WR.

Just a few thoughts. And GOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See this viewpoint is why I compared him to Drew Carter...Carter had his moments he was 6 ft 4 and weighed 218 pounds...He had speed and some big games...That's the exact reason why I could see us passing on a great WR for someone who never lives up to being a solid number 2...Let's not forget we want someone that can replace Smith eventually to...Is gettis that guy?

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
