I've been critical of him. Just read an article that really impressed me.

Every week, The Golden Calf of Bristol picks out someone who is suffering, or who is dying, or who is injured. He flies these people and their families to the Broncos game, rents them a car, puts them up in a nice hotel, buys them dinner (usually at a Dave & Buster's), gets them and their families pregame passes, visits with them just before kickoff (!), gets them 30-yard-line tickets down low, visits with them after the game (sometimes for an hour), has them walk him to his car, and sends them off with a basket of gifts.

His actions sounds like a typical Hollywood move. Helping out the sick and needy. What happen to the average kid who isn't sick or needy? Don't they need someone to show as much attention to them?

Also, what's with walking HIM to his car? Is that suppose to leave an every lasting impression on the family? SMH

Sorry if I sound cynical but just wondering out loud.

Whether it's directed by a PR firm or straight from the heart, either way the end result is these people get some needed diversion and fun.

Props.

there is nothing in his life that would point to it being anything less than honest and heart felt desire to help those who are hurting.

you may not like him because he's a bad QB...or because he's not cam newton....or because you think his religion is a sham...or because he's white...i don't know. i'm not going to judge that.

but questioning anyone who has spent his life trying to help others shows a lack of class and/or jealousy.

get over it.

100% true.

i don't care what the motivation is as long is good is being done to someone in need.

focus on that rather than trying to point out a perceived flaw in a human who is trying to do something positive.

"Cynical" wasn't the first word that came to mind.

More like "one of the flat out dumbest posts I've ever read on this board"

Being critical of something like this is just silly.

    • The framing continues to be if you disagree with this top 10 play making….its then somehow spun as denying his improvement or hating. if you take Bryce’s career and exclude his last 2 starts……there really is no objective argument that isn’t a bottom tier starter to date. Is yeah, it’s cherry picking, recency bias and his surprising inability improvement driving it into a bit of silliness.  Literally nothing argued here except the top 10 stuff is overkill.   But it’s also the same time of year when folks can get bashed for saying Frank is a bad hire, Fitterer sucks and should be fired with Rhule, Ben McAdoo was a joke hire for a staff that forced into rejects, Rhule doesn’t know what he is doing and clearly exposed when reporters got into camp, the Sam/Baker comp and not picking one is dumb, and on and on.  Lot of frankly conservative takes are spun as wild hate this time of year.
    • Doing a little digging and it looks like PFF didn't penalize him for the XL drop during that Chiefs game.  I also think the moral of the story is most teams aren't chunking it 20 plus yards for completions multiple times every game.  Hit a couple of those and you can be one of the top "deep" ball passers that week.
    • Of course he needs to put together a full season and there is no reason to suggest he won't. His progress last year was great and unless you think he has already reached his ceiling he should continue to get better. That is why folks are excited for the first time in years. Who knows what will happen but to have a qb who finished the year playing excellently and is only going into his 3rd year, you need to be excited. At least until we have reason to think differently.
