I love these pics of Eli from last night's game.

23-0, 41-9... when it REALLY mattered... yeah, that guy that put up 0 and 9 points against us is the guy I want leading my team...

Yes he has grown as a player since then, but the fact that most of you think he's top 5 in the league says a lot about either you, or the league...

People that tout postseason greatness are the same ones that voted Terry Bradshaw into the HOF, and he is probably the most comparable historical QB that I can think of to Eli... lol

At this point the only two quarterbacks who matter are Manning and Brady. Everyone else are getting ready for the pro-bowl or sitting in the audience watching. What happened in 2011 is irrelevant to everyone else for 2012. Just because they were elite in 2011 doesn't guarantee anything next year. Just ask Peyton or phillip rivers about the difference a year makes.

Thats nice, but if we go by those stats, The Golden Calf of Bristol has an argument among the top 10 QBs.

All I've ever said is, Eli has a better playoff resume than big brother. His numbers, his wins, everything. Romo doesn't have a say in this conversation until he gets out of the playoff dumpster. He has 1 win...DQ'd in my book.

I was showing why one could say Romo is better this season, not over his career.

Eli can flat out run an offense and can make all the throws....solid QB. Top 5 QB this year since he put the statistics up, owned 3rd down, won the NFC east by crushing the Cowboys, and piloted the team through two tough road wins in the playoffs for the Super Bowl birth. 2nd shot, he's 1-0 as of now.

You sir are talking out of your ass, have you even watched a giants game this year? Every giants fan knows right now that the only reason we even made it to the playoffs this year was eli. We had one of the worst defenses in the league and thee worst run game, not to mention an o-line that is pretty much a revolving door. Also as for the progression of cruz and nicks, eli spent all of the offseason and through the lockout working with them and he played a major role in their development. Sure his numbers arent all that great at times but he doesnt play in san diego nor does he play in a dome. I'll take a clutch qb, superbowl mvp and his 7-3 post season record over any pretty looking stats you want.

Oh and PS, Giants fans have been the biggest critic on eli since his career began and you wont find one critisizing him now.

Eli isnt the reason ur in the playoffs. Andy Ried and his failure to coach an nfc probowl team is the only reason ur in the playoffs.

don't kid yourself Jbro...

Patriots have arguably the best QB and coach in the history of the game, and a defense that is peaking at the perfect time.

There won't be any David Tyree magic this time around...

Too many of my fellow Panthers fans are Patriots haters for whatever reason (not saying you are one of them) and it is understandably so. But I personally respect the way they play the game, and how they do it with very average players at some positions.

The Giants don't even measure up to the Ravens, who had an above average outing against the Pats yesterday.

Patriots by at least 10.

Your kidding right? If am not mistaking, didn't the Pats end up in the SB more because of what the Ravens didn't do and not so much what they did?

Yesterday we witnessed 4 very good teams going at each other. Out of both the games, you really going to tell me that the Pats and Ravens game was the better defensive game?

I dont think that Eli is a huge stat producing QB like Brees or Brady, but he is still a top 5 QB due to the fact that he finds a way to get it done in the post season.

1. Brady

2. Rodgers

3. Brees

4. Big Ben

5. Eli

6. Newton

7. Stafford

8. Rivers

9. Vick

10. Romo

Does Peyton Manning no longer exist or is he just no longer a top 10 QB in your mind?

I just read through this thread and it seems people either love Eli or hate him. People either think he is overrated or underrated and not many in between. The Peyton vs. Eli debate is laughable.

Even as an Eagle's fan I have always thought Eli was an underrated QB mostly because I have always heard how he is unfairly bashed by the Northeast media as are most players who play in that area and he got much more citicism then he deserves.

I have always regarded him as one of the better QB's in the league but for anyone to actually entertain the thought that Eli is better than Peyton is out of thier freakin mind. Peyton Manning is considered one of the top 10 players to ever play in the NFL and to say Eli is better is to say Eli is one of the best 9 players to play ever play the game. It's funny because Peyton has done nothing to regress except sit out a year yet Eli is the better QB now?

What am I missing?
