Just met Mike Minter!!!

Recommended Posts

I am a student at Liberty University and we introduced are recruiting class and our coaching staff today. Mike Minter was introduced as our special teams coach and after the introductions and fan questions there was a meet and greet session.

I talked to him about the Panthers Super Bowl Season, his career at the Panthers, the future for Panthers football and Liberty football, and of course about Cam.

He is a very humble guy and very funny also.

I just thought I would share this little story

Awesome man!

Mike Minter is everything an athelete, a man, and a role model should me and more.

I met him at Fort Bragg and was lucky enough to get a picture with him and an autographed big picture of him in his uniform.

I went out to eat later that night and he was at the same resturant as me, and I made sure to acknowledge him.

THEN I saw him at the game the next day signing autographs and I yelled "MIKE YOU THE MAN!" He kinda made a "Ugh---ok weido?" face, but I was excited.

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
