Trade up to 4th Overall and take Claiborne?

with tampa's new coach being a run first kind of guy and blount being a lazy bum who was really only good for 2 downs anyways...yeah, richardson is pretty much a given for them.

the only thing i see in the way is he's a rbbc kind of guy so he might wait a while and take two RBs later or pick up an RB in FA and another in the draft.

despite that, i'm going to feel safe in saying that the bucs will be going with an RB in the first. i just don't see them being smart enough to replace their retiring CB or their other jail-bound CB.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that most Bucs fans on their message board also prefer Richardson to Claiborne. I really hope their FO feels the same. Here is one thread among others. http://www.bbs.tbaybucs.com/index.php?/topic/13279-2012-mock-offseason/page__p__288884__hl__%2Brichardson+%2Bclaiborne__fromsearch__1#entry288884

Won't really know until after free agency but I really think there's a good chance Claiborne will be there at 8 and have thought so for awhile. I would be happy with a defensive lineman but like most here I would be ECSTATIC with Claiborne.

Minnesota is the biggest threat on the board to take Claiborne.

On the latest ESPN mock they have Minnesota taking Reiff. They need help everywhere and as good as Claiborne is, traditional thinking prohibits taking a corner in the top 3.

Valid. But Minnesota's pass D was abysmal last year, Im not sure about Reiff's value being quite that high, and oh yeah, Leslie Frazier is a former CB and DB coach.

So I'm not quite sure how i feel about that at this point.
