It says on his wikipedia that he is ranked as the best receiver and number 5 player overall.

Did this kid get cancer or something? wtf happened here? I don't follow college ball.

It says on Wikipedia???? Dude, don't trust wikipedia for draft status or your 8th grade history project.

It doesn't matter where he is ranked now. If he runs a 4.8+ 40 during the combine he may not even get drafted. At least not as a WR, but maybe a Dallas Clark like tight end.

he's not going to be drafted as a TE in round 5, he's going to be picked high, likely look for him to be taken around pick 8 to early round 2, if i had to guess now, Blackmon is first off the board, the Dolphins or Redskins take a WR, then another team drafts one, then Jeffery goes. MY top WRs are Blackmon, Kendall Wright, Alshon Jeffery and then Michael Floyd, though it's close with Floyd and Jeffery, if Jeffery has a bad .40 time, then drops, but i think he will have a decent .40.

everybody and there mother talked down Cam last year so this should be no surprise...I would guess the Huddle would remember that.

Only difference is Cam was arguably the best player in the country that year.......Alshon wasn't even the best WR in the state of SC.

Lot of hate on here for Alshon. This has started way back. Wonder if some is from SEC rivals. Go to youtube and watch some of his highlights. Kid needs a good WR coach and some motivation top of the second i would take a chance on him. Mark it down he runs a 4.55 come combine. Second prediction he puts up some good numbers his rookie year.

If he runs a 4.55 40 he will stay in the first round. If he weighs 249 and runs a 4.88 forty like that report says he may not even get drafted.

That isn't hate that is reality. The report's veracity is under question so I will withhold my judgement until after the combine.

I'll take him in the 4th or 5th and convert him to TE. He'd make a damn good TE.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
