Panthers Re-Sign Jordan Senn

Wow our LB depth problem is slowly starting to fade.

Who we got now? Beason, Davis, Anderson, Senn, Applewhite, and Onatalu, right?

Then there's Thomas Williams, Jason Williams and Jason Philips. Which of them are free agents and which are coming back? Anybody know?

as far as i know J Williams and J Phillips are on the roster, Phillips signed contract before new league year IIRC. Panthers may have made a choice between Senn and Thomas Williams for that ST guy / 5th-6th LB role. I really expect Jason Williams to be cut in training camp unless he shows significantly better instincts in defensive snaps. He's a guy that has all the physical prowess of Thomas Davis (though bigger and not as fast) but can never seem to apply his talents to football skills. Phillips must be a project of some sort, they kept him even though he was incredibly unlucky last year with injuries.

I hope he can get better this offseason. Might help to get faster too. Problem is that while he is a ST and depth guy, unless we bring in a few starter quality guys, when and if Beason or Davis goes down, Senn will be the starter again. And he just isn't starter quality.

It is my understanding that the cap is based off of your top 51 or 53 (something like that) salaries. So you can basically sign minimum contracts all day long, because they don't increase the total of your top contracts. I could be way off, but dont think so.

I musta missed that.. what'd he say?

As of Noon ET Tuesday, Jordan Senn's agent, Arthur B. Weiss, said the Panthers had yet to offer the LB a deal. "They're not offering (deals to) anybody," Weiss said. "They need to restructure Thomas Davis' deal (five years, $36.5 million). That's screwing them up and I don't think he'll play a down this season."

    • LaMelo to Brooklyn for Nic Claxton, Drake Powell, and a pick.  Who says no?
    • Appreciate you, brother!  I know it was lengthy, but I felt whoever actually read it would appreciate it.
    • Damn good take, brother.  I think I take that poo personally because (sidebar: I don’t like to use narcissist often because social media has made it a buzzword and diluted the meaning, so when I use it, I don’t take it lightly) I grew up in a home with a raging narcissist, then married a narcissist and just came out of a divorce after a 20 year marriage with her, where afterwards she met and married another narcissist.🤣  And in my dealings with them, over my 41 years on this earth, at times I took great delight in breaking down their arguments point by point and forcing them to either acknowledge their wrongs and take ownership of them or watch them yammer and stammer away when they ran out of lies and excuses.  At various points, that was extremely satisfying, but ultimately, which I’ve realized especially after the last 3 years and going through the divorce and everything, it does NOTHING to them.  It doesn’t affect them one way or another.  For a logical, reasonable, grounded person, you would think calling them in their poo will bring it to their attention when they’re face when nothing but facts and truth and force them to change, but nope.  Not in the slightest.  They just disassociate from the ones who do that and find more people who will validate their behaviors and thinking.  poo pisses me off because they’re so destructive and couldn’t care less so long as their needs are met.
