He's bust proof, here's a guy who lead the nation in tackles and can read offenses like Peyton Manning reads defenses. He will be the pick, no debate about it. He's the next Urlacher and that's just too good to pass up. Beason can move to OLB.

Yes and covering mediocre competition in college games means nothing compared to a multiple pro-bowl NFL linebacker. Beason has shown what he can do in the NFL, Kuechly has not.

ironically what can reduce unwanted contact with offensive linemen is a stronger defensive line

Honestly, I think you've lost your mind. Move Beason to OLB and let a rookie take his spot. Really, Beason is our QB on defense, if anything or if we drafted Kuechly, he'd either sub out with either Anderson or Davis. Beason doesn't leave the field!
