Miami Trading Up?

I'd be amazed if this happens. This is a QB driven league, but taking Tannehill at #3 would be like smashing your head through the door instead of turning the handle. I'd sit back until I pick at #8 and if the Browns want him that bad, let them have him. Only thing I'd worry about is a team trading up with the Jaguars.

The Panthers will still be in a tough position. If we would have landed that 8 or 9 overall pick we would have a great shot at landing a very good player that can help us now in many ways. If Tannehill was to land at 3 with Miami this how I see the rest of the draft going.

1. Colts- Andrew Luck

2. Redskins- RG3

3. Miami- Ryan Tannheill

4. Browns- Trent Richardson

5. Tampa Bay- Morris Claiborne

6. Rams- Matt Kalil

7. Jaguars- Melvin Ingram

8. Vikings- Riley Rieff

9. Carolina- Justin Blackmon

10. Bills- Johnthan Martin

In this situation the only player I could see us land is Justin Blackmon. I just don't see Morris Claiborne falling to #9 anymore. You either take Blackmon or the best defensive player on the board. In my opinion the best defensive player would probable will be Quinton Coples. The issue with this is I don't like or trust Coples at all. I don't think he will be very good.

Blackmon wont get by the Jags. They are going offense.. need weapons for Gabbert.

It does nothing but shuffle the order in which which guys were drafted. We, at 9 will still have the same players available regardless of the movement around us. Tannehill going 3rd or 8th does nothing for us.

Agree that's why we either are going to pick where we are at or trade down.

If we get Blackmon, we'd have Smith's replacement. I don't think any WRs on our team currently, no matter if they are good and promising, will match what Smith commands. I like Lafell and Gettis, but if Blackmon is hanging from the tree at 9, we take him. Unless someone like Dallas is desperate and we can trade down and get more picks.

Like others have said, Miami trading up would only be an issue if they drafted below us not above. if they trade up to take Tannehill or anyone else it really doesn't impact us at all. Now if we had gotten the 8th pick then it could have mattered somewhat, except we have no interest in picking Tannehill at all.
