Could Trading J Stewart Play Into Our Draft Plans?

I wish we could trade him and our first to move up ahead of the Bucs, to get Claiborne.

We are going to lose him anyway, we should at least get something out of the deal.

you think MoClay is worth JStew and a first rounder?

no no no no no no no no no no no

I thought we only had 2 RB's & 1 FB? (starter level)

Too focused in Tolbert having a FB listed next to his name. He is diverse. Can lineup and do it all on the backfield.

We also have Cam who is part of the run game

If Stewart has the value of a 2nd rounder....value chart says that is what a move up would take.

But we should just enjoy Stews last year. Never know, injuries could always impact plans going forward as well

If we don't have cap problems, we will have locker room problems. No way 3 starter level running backs will play nice. I hope I am wrong but history proves otherwise.

Double Trouble had been playing nice this whole time, thriving on eachothers' play. Tolbert took a paycut to come here. I don't think there'll be too many locker room problems.

So Tolbert left a solid RB2 role with multiple opportunities to start, turned down other teams where he could be RB2 possibly RB1 to come to Carolina for less money to be 3rd string. Scenario makes even less sense if you categorize him as a FB bc this position is rarely used

Oh and one of the teams that wanted him was the Sreelers and they have no primary back.

I believe that as much as I believe Stew will take less money to stay in Carolina.

Double Trouble also was the offense at one time here.....times have changed. Fewer reps for both even if Tolbert was not in the picture.

Stewart wants to get paid. Simple and plain. Too many spin the scenario when it isn't complicated.

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
