As A Latin Alum, I Felt The Need To Post This

Sorry if this is already posted

As a child growing up in Morrocroft Estates, the gated community in south Charlotte, Brenton Bersin attended an annual spring barbecue at a neighbor’s house.

Bersin and the other neighborhood kids would drink sodas and play football in the backyard while their parents ate and visited with their host – Panthers owner Jerry Richardson.

“He’s been scouting me out since I was 10,” Bersin said.

Bersin’s family lived two doors down from Richardson. And after a successful career at Charlotte Latin, Bersin chased Richardson’s receiving records at Wofford.

Now he’ll play for Richardson’s team.

Didn't know him personally, he was a few years behind me. But a good writeup on a local kid getting a tryout for the Panthers.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
