So... Is Bell the starter now?

Bruce Cambell has a chance. I'm not to worried because Cam showed he could get the job done without an elite line.

That is the gospel truth bro. Cam didn't have an elite line like Brees had and he still mange to break Manning passing rookie record and rushing record for QBs as well. But a good oline would help to keep Cam from been hit all the time. But overall Cam has proven he can do it with a decent oline.

I'm sorry, but Bell was terrible both games vs ATL. And he allowed the sack, that Cam was slow to get up from to his shoulder vs NO.

I doubt Rivera is making final decisions based on last year.. especially considering players grow from year to year.

No one said he didn't have terrible games. He was still solid throughout the season. Plus the guy is a rookie undrafted. What do you expected. The guy should better this coming year with a full year under his belt and a full training camp like Fue and Mcclain. Time will tell.

I believe we will look at FA. Bell is alright and Cam did good with him at RT, but I would prefer a tackle that will limit Cam's scrambles. Just because Cam can do that in order to compensate for Bell doesn't mean I want him to continue doing that.

On what grounds?

I remember we all believed that DT would be addressed in FA or through the draft 5 months ago. None of that happened. I believe they're riding with what we got now, if no one steps up, next years draft is going to be where that RT emerges from.

On the grounds of what I said beyond the first sentence.

He had one of the worst ratings for his position last year in the NFL. The fact that he wasn't drafted is not a plus. It makes a sentimental story, but does nothing on Sundays to help the team. My guess is the Panthers are sitting back waiting for someone to get cut.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
